Abu Dhabi, in a move to attract more tourists, is offering free vaccines to tourists. This was earlier restricted to UAE citizens and permanent residency holders. This will now extend to anyway who enters the region with a valid Abu Dhabi visa. Dubai, the more popular cousin of the Emirates, has not announced any such rule.
On arriving in the UAE through Abu Dhabi, travellers can book free vaccines, according to information provided by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), which operates the emirate’s public health infrastructure.
The covid cases in the region have continued to go up, and other travel restrictions like negative PCR test and home quarantine will continue. Travellers from 27 countries, including Germany and China, are exempt from home quarantine.
The Pfizer vaccine is being administered by SEHA in the region and as of now 85% of the regions population has received at least one shot of the vaccine.
