Clubhouse, the audio-only social networking app launched on Android in India last month. The app is already trying to increase its downloads and has introduced many features to compete with existing features on other mediums like Twitter Spaces. The latest feature for Android will allow uses to add their Instagram and Twitter accounts to their profile. This was the “most requested” feature according to the company. Clubhouse on Android hopes these features will beat out its competition.
This will allow people on Clubhouse to DM (direct message) users Twitter and Instagram handles from within Clubhouse itself.
The other features include an easier way to follow clubs. After listening in a room for about two minutes, a follow button will be visible to follow either the club or the speakers in the room. You will be notified when they go live in the future.
Lastly, Clubhouse is adding an “upcoming events” feature on the club page. On seeing the listed events, users can tap the bell icon to RSVP to an event and then get notifications for when the event begins.
