Delhi Airport Gets A Covid Vaccination Centre

Delhi Airport gets a covid vaccination centre, in association with Manipal Hospital from June 1. This is for the 60,000 employees at the airport and is available to anyone above the age of 18, on a chargeable basis.

The employees at the airport include cargo, ground handling agencies, air traffic control, and other such that have all been deemed essential workers at the airport. The new vaccination centre has been set up at Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The aviation industry is a priority of the government and these employees work round the clock to make sure the airport functions smoothly. This move is to urge the employees to seek protection for themselves against the coronavirus.

The facility is arranged with a lounge for employees to rest for 30 minutes post the vaccine. The process is the same, employees need to register on the COWIN app. The facility is available from 10am to 5pm. Doctors and ambulances are available on stand-by, if required.
