Indian Hotels Corporations Limited (IHCL) that is the parent company of the Taj group of hotels announced signing a deal with Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore to open a 775 room property. The management contract with Bangalore Airport City Limited (BACL) to open a combination of a 450 room Vivanta and a 325 room Ginger Hotel. This is in addition to the Taj Bangalore that the already operates adjacent to the airport.
Currently in development is the Airport City (by BACL) project that will include business parks, medical and biotech parks, a mall, convention and exhibition centres, a central park and entertainment. IHCL hopes to provide the hospitality to add to this.

This new upcoming hotel complex, along with Taj Bangalore, will offer a combined inventory of 1,150 rooms catering to the needs of this dynamic and evolving market.
