Indigo Staff To Go On Leave Without Pay Again

As passenger traffic declines Indigo has asked its employees to go on leave without pay (LWP) again. While this was in effect last year, the company withdrew the order in January 2021. The sharp decline of travellers, on account of the second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic has made the company reinstate this rule.

Depending on the employee group the number of days of LWP ranges from 1.5 to 4 days. All cabin crew to take 1.5 days LWP while senior staff will be required four days.

This rule is in effect for three months, from June 1 to September.
