Luxury hotel brand Raffles will open its first hotel in India in Udaipur in 2021. The hotel was meant to open in 2020, but presumably faced delays due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts, known for its luxury, opened its first hotel in 1887 in Singapore. The hotel grew to become a global hotel chain and also gave the world the famous Singapore Sling.
Raffles Udaipur will be the first Raffles to open in India, in 2021. Udaipur is often referred to as the “Venice of the East,” and is famous for its rich cultural heritage, lakes, temples and palaces. The hotel will offer easy access to Udaipur’s main attractions. It is situated on an island in the middle of Udai Sagar lake and the hotel will be a 101 room Resort.
The resort will include Raffles’ Signatures such as an 1,100 square meter Raffles Spa, Long Bar, and Writers Bar along with a rooftop restaurant and an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, and deck.
