The United States has eased travel restrictions for travellers coming to India from a level 4, which means “do not travel” to a level 3 which urges citizens to “reconsider travel”. This is the same for Pakistan as well.
On May 5, the country had put Indians on the red-list, disallowing passengers travelling to and from India. They have reduced some restrictions while still urging travellers to be fully vaccinated before planning a trip.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has urged people to reconsider their travel till further restrictions are eased or until fully vaccinated. “Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA authorised vaccine. Before planning any international travel, please review the CDC’s specific recommendations for vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers,” it said.
