All-About-Britto’sStarted in 1965 by Peter Britto’s father, Britto’s is a popular restaurant among tourists.

This sea-facing restaurant is home to Goan, Continental and Indian fare, and can easily accommodate about 320 people. Open all day, during season time, it offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Besides a fixed menu, Britto’s also features daily specials. A display counter that has an assortment of the catch-of-the-day range from fish to lobster and other seafood is also here.

Some of the recommended and signature dishes that are available include the classic seafood platter that includes the mussels in white wine, baked crabs, grilled fish, butter garlic calamari and prawn cocktails, and is served with salad and chips, the Goan Mixed Grill, Fish Curry and Rice and Pork Vindaloo among others. Desserts include the Tiramisu, Mango and Choco Alpine Mousse, Blueberry and Apple Cinnamon Cheescake to name a few. Britto’s also has a well-stocked bar that has both domestic and imported liquor. The Mojito is their signature drink. Other cocktails and mocktails include the Blood Mary, Long Island Tea, Virgin Mary and the Pina Colada among others. They also store Sula wines and have all the varieties of Kingfisher as well. Breakfast includes a typical continental fare like eggs, bacon, ham and more. “Our philosophy is to serve fresh and quality food.”

One of their beer-based dishes is a speciality called the ‘Beer Batter Fish’, which needs to be ordered in advance. Britto said, “KF Beer works well with any fresh fish or prawn-based dish and spicy Goan dish like the Vindaloo.”

Off season, different live bands play on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while Thursdays and Sundays are Karaoke Nights. During peak season, recorded music from pop to jazz can are played.
