The cane-lined doorway and the soft music sets the tone for a laidback ambience. This terrace grill-cum-restaurant with its thatch-and-bamboo décor looks inviting under the open air. The elevated portico with low-seated divans and cane lampshades is ideal for a group of friends. Says owner Vaneet Reddy, “The ambience and music along with the food is what works. Our aim is to create a Goan beachside atmosphere. We have a huge park called KBR Park to one side of the building which allows guests to enjoy the view of greenery sitting at the terrace.”
Home to a live grill counter, Coco’s rustles up an assortment of kebabs, continental sizzlers and even does barbecues. Among the starters, the Chilli Cheese Toast is very popular while main courses such as the Palak Paneer, Grilled Fish, Lamb Chops and Kulcha are recommended. The menu is a healthy mix of Oriental and Continental fare. The lasagne and pasta dishes are worth a try. The bar has a range of branded liquor like Kingfisher (Regular), Smirnoff, Glenfiddich Single Malt, Grey Goose absolute and Corona. One of the signatures here are the ‘Cocotails’ – a hard drink of the customer’s choice is added to coconut water and chilled soda. For the mocktail buffs, Coco’s Lucida Di Lemon and Apple Shiner are recommended mixes.A live band takes requests from guests on all days except on Mondays.
