This lobby level restaurant at Asiana Hotel sprawls itself out as an elegantly decorated 68-cover space serving authentic Thai delicacies. The furnishings are mostly in leather, suede and wood; these used to set the tone for fine dining. Artefacts used to complete the décor are distinctly Thai.
Best of Bar and Kitchen
Silk is closed on Mondays but remains open through the rest of the week for lunch and dinner. Phad Thai, a preparation of boiled rice noodles that’s stir fired with garlic, onions, carrots, tofu, eggs, chicken and prawns, is served here. A spicy concoction of beans, broccoli, bokchoy, lemon leaf and more, makes the Tom Yum Phak Ruam soup, which is another must-try. The Thai Red Curry also secures a place in their list of signature dishes.
The Kaeng Lueng Tow Hu, although a thorough vegetarian fare, can set the tongue wagging for more. Vegetables and tofu are chopped and cooked in a coconut milk broth. A quick drizzle of soy sauce and blending in some spicy yellow curry paste lends a powerful flavour to the dish.
