Not to be confused with the erstwhile F Bar on St. Marks Road, the 17,000-sq-ft property is located in a heritage bungalow, with the foliage dating back to a century. However, the décor is futuristic – sharp angles, sleek furniture and glass abound. A 25-ft-high cascading waterfall adds to the visual spectacle. There are three distinct areas for guests. The restaurant is indoors, the lounge is an ultra-modern space, while the courtyard is outdoors and surrounded by greenery.
The bar is also geared for performance entertainment. A huge ramp circles the property, and is in the spotlight for the fashion shows the venue regularly hosts. F-Bar also has an arena, where events ranging from stand-up comedy to jazz performances and rock take place.
The bar is touted as being the longest in South India, extending to 64 feet in length. It has a generous wine collection, 35 brands of single malts, and a wide range of cocktails, served by trained mixologists. A special concoction for the ladies is the Chocolate Cocktail, and the tongue-in-cheek What the F? is its signature drink.
The kitchen serves the world on a platter. Guests can choose from a detailed menu, which includes Brochetta, a dish composed of Spanish skewered meat; Cassoulets, made with French skewed navy beans, duck confit and pork sausages; and the Provencial Rack of Lamb. Cheese lovers will appreciate the platter here, which includes cheeses from different regions of the world.
Promoter Satya Sinha sums up the F-Bar experience with, “We are looking at providing everything under one roof. F-Bar is a fashion, food and entertainment hub. Bangaloreans, as a rule, appreciate good food and wine and we are excited to provide them with world-class service.”
