Skyye opened its doors to the crowd of Bangalore on January 15 this year, and has already garnered great reviews. Positioned right at the 16th floor of the UB city, Skyye has created a stir in the party circuit of Bangalore. The elevator ride from the ground floor to the 16th creates the feeling of anticipation and what awaits you at the entrance are two gigantic gates dotted with the base ends of green liquor bottles. The gates are guarded by two bouncers who give way to a set of hostesses inviting you inside the plush bar and lounge. The first thing that catches attention is the vast expanse of the place and the breathtaking view of Bangalore on all sides. The entire concept of Skyye is selling space with a view. Out of the 14000 sq.ft area, 12000sq ft is for the public with various seating options to choose from. Go for a relaxed evening with the buddies in the lounge section overlooking the city with comfortable white couches around. If you mean business and are looking for the perfect space to seal the deal, then the Bull Pen section is just for you. Set in a glass cube, away from the hustle and bustle of the bar, makes for a good place for business meetings. They also have the private section for the personal parties and celebrations. The highlight of the place though, is the central bar area – a round open bar serving high end liquor along with cigars. The bar menu invites you with its ‘Open for Dizziness!’ line. There is a fine dining section on one side as well. Amit from Skyye stresses that it is not a multi-cuisine restaurant. They serve popular dishes from different continents. One has the option of digging into the Asian and Mediterranean starters along with main course choices. Most popular ones are the Chicken Satay, American Bowl. Mushrooms and Chestnut Dimsums are one of the bestsellers. The drinks menu is as impressive with their specially crafted Skyye-o-tinis, Twilight Bikinis, Rock and Roll Sunset, Mexican Green Horn etc. They also serve Kingfisher beers.
If you are looking for an instant high, look no further than Skyye.
