Flipboard, the social magazine app, has released a version for the iPhone and iPod touch; in a week, the iPhone app clocked one million downloads. The app emulates print and the action of flipping pages to bring together stories, photos, news and updates being shared across social networks. The iPhone app, which had its public demo at the LeWeb’11 Conference in Paris, has a new feature called Cover Stories. The firm says that this is a smart section that learns from a reader’s interactions with the content, created for when people want to quickly check for interesting news or updates. Updates from social networks like Facebook and Instagram will also show up in the Cover Stories.
