Industry leaders and delegates at the annual Hotel Investment Forum India (HIFI) voted for ITC Grand Chola, Chennai to emerge as the ‘Development of the Year’ winner in the Luxury & Upscale category, held in Gurgaon,earlier this month. HIFI is India’s leading hotel investment conference addressing important trends whilst recognizing top leaders in the hospitality industry.
Since its launch on September 15, 2012, the ITC Grand Chola, the 600-key super premium integrated luxury hotel has aided in transforming the tourism landscape of Chennai and the state of Tamil Nadu, auguring its growth as a formidable business and leisure destination. With 100,000 sq. ft. of banqueting and convention space and the largest pillar-less ballroomin the country, Chennai is soon emerging as the preferred business and convention destination.
This recognition follows ITC Grand Chola’s accreditation as the World’s Largest LEED Platinum hotel; an embodiment of ITC Hotels’ credo of ‘Responsible Luxury’.
