Air India Express Expects to Break Even in 2013

Air India Express, the low-cost international arm of national carrier Air India, expects to break even by 2013.

A top company official said, “We are already in cash-profit and expect to break even by the turn of the 2013 fiscal.” According to a report in The Asian Age, AIE moved its headquarters to Kochi from Mumbai in December 2010 for better operational efficiency and coordination. The official also added that it would have been already profitable, had it not been for the 25 percent revenue sharing agreement with Air India.
