Air India Makes Delhi-Surat Flights Less Frequent

Air India has disappointed again with the decision to curtail the daily flights between Surat and New Delhi to just four days a week.

A decision to this effect was recently taken by the top management of Air India to reduce the frequency on Surat-Delhi route from the existing five days a week to four days a week starting from December.

Sources said that Indian, a subsidiary of Air India was the lone flight operator to begin operation from the Surat airport in 2009. Since then Air India has not increased its frequency or covered new destinations.  Moreover, Indian has replaced its 128-seater aircraft with a much smaller 68-seater aircraft in the last few months.
