Delhi Airport acquires ISO 20000 IT Service Management System certification

Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL) has recently acquired ISO 20000 for IT Service Management System (ITSMS), becoming the 6th airport operator to receive this certification. The other 5 global airports to achieve this are- Dubai, Munich, Abu Dhabi, Incheon and Hyderabad.

ISO 20000-1:2011 is a service management system (SMS) standard. It specifies requirements for the service provider to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. The requirements include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to fulfil agreed service requirements. At DIAL, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) consists of 13 Processes which are used in ITSM to ensure Cost Effectiveness, Availability, Zero Tolerance and Customer Satisfaction.
