The Grand Entry of the Oktoberfest Landlords and Breweries includes 1000 participants in decorated carriages, the magnificent horse-drawn drays of the Munich breweries, waitresses on decorated floats and all the beer tent bands. A big band open-air concert of all Oktoberfest bands with some 400 musicians takes place on the second Sunday of the festival.
Toronto International Film Festival

This is the largest cultural festival in Hawaii dedicated to the preserving the history and cultural traditions of Hawaiian people. On September 15 the Waikiki Hoolaulea takes place and this event showcases entertainers from all over the islands and street dancers that make merry. Dalton Defender Days
Dalton Defender Days celebrates the fateful day of October 5, 1892 when the Dalton Gang was defeated in Coffeyville Kansas. The gang attempted to rob two banks in Coffeyville and most of them were shot dead in the encounter with the townspeople many of whom gave their lives to save Coffeyville. This year there will be a Dalton Defenders Re-enactment, Street Dance featuring Retro Rockers, Old Fashion Cakewalk, Pie & Corn on Cob Eating Contest. There are also events like the Barrel Racing Competition, Team Roping Competition etc.
Shanghai Jazz Festival
Jazz music festival is a annual jazz fest of Shanghai and it provides anchorage to a range of music related products and industries. Jazz Shanghai is one of the most powerful Jazz Cultural History Organisation in China. Organised by the Norwich and Norfolk Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale this festival is held every year at St. Andrew’s & Blackfriars Hall operated by the Norwich City Council. The 35th Norwich Beer Festival has over 200 casks conditioned Real Ales from Britain’s independent brewers along with drought and bottled beers from Continental Beers from across Europe. There will also be large range of traditional ciders and perries with over 40 varieties from East Anglia, West Country and elsewhere.

This book fair is a meeting place for industry experts from publishers to authors. It is the most important market place for books, media, rights and licenses. It is also considered to be the most important marketplace for books, rights and licenses worldwide and sees over 7,400 exhibitors from 106 countries and more than 10,000 journalists. There are German collective stands at the world’s most important fairs, book collections with titles from the German publishing industry that reflect people’s current concerns, book Information Centres and German Book Offices in Beijing, Moscow, New York and New Delhi.
Lord of Miracles Procession
The Lord Of Miracles Festival or El Senor de los Milagros as it is also known is a Christian festival that centers on a painting of Jesus Christ, which depicts his crucifixion and includes the figures of St Mary Magdalene, the Virgin Mary, the Holy Spirit and God. During the 17th century a black slave painted the picture, which gained in reputation after it, survived intact after a terrible earthquake that destroyed much of the city. To this day the legend of the painting continues to inspire the belief of great hope and protection amongst its faithful followers who come to Lima in their thousands in adoration of this religious Icon. The painting is carried on a silver litter from its resting place at Las Nazarenas Church around the streets of Lima. Walking in front of the painting are Catholic sisters wearing purple robes who are accompanied by faithful followers also dressed in purple clothing in respect to the Lord of Miracles. Many of the participants wave burning incense, sing hymns and pray during the procession.

From October, the city of Nelson will be hosting the Nelson Arts Festival 2013 at venues like Founders Park, the Suiter Theatre and new Theatre Royal. The festival spread over 17 extra ordinary days when the festival showcases some great musicians and performers. Every year the Nelson Arts community helps to shape the cultural identity of the people and inspires visitors. Some of the events are International Theatre, Dance, Cabaret, Music and Talks and also a Nelson Masked Parade with more than 4,000 participants that takes place on October 19. There are also choreographed performances like Return of Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen Cabaret Noir.
Powerco Taranaki Festival

The festival has evolved from a regional celebration of gardens and attracts visitors from around New Zealand and the world. It is one of the longest running garden festivals in the country and has flourished into a world-class event hat showcases gardens created by Taranaki gardeners and also include Spring Fashion Show and Secret Dining.
