Francis Mathew Appointed General Manager at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Mysore

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Mysore has announced the appointment of Francis Mathew as General Manager of the property. In this role, his key responsibilities will include – managing the launch of the property, business and marketing initiatives and the overall functioning of the property.

He comes with over two decades of wide ranging experience in the Hospitality and Retail sector both in India and the Middle East. In 2004, he joined Jawad Business Group, a leading Bahrain based retail group, as Brand Manager to launch Papa John’s Pizza across four countries in the Middle East. His last position was that of Business Head – Quick Casual Restaurants, before deciding to relocate to India in 2011.

Francis Mathew has also been associated with major hotel chains in India including The Oberoi Group, Sarovar Hotels and Angsana Spa & Resorts.

Prior to his retail role, Francis Mathew was the General Manager at Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort where he handled the brand launch and PR functions along with coordinating the international and domestic marketing for the same. He was also responsible for the recruiting and managing the pre-opening team. He has also held the position of General Manager of Howard Park Plaza, Agra part of Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, where he launched the property as well as managed the hotel operations along with active participation in the Sales & Marketing activities to promote the property.

He has a degree in Hotel Management with a specialisation in Strategic Marketing. A wine enthusiast, he has travelled to Roseworthy College Australia along with a short stint at Grover Wines to learn the finer nuances of wine making and tasting.

    When we tried to contact, he is not at all ready to meet and his subordinates always say he is not going to meet or available. If any major issue or problem he will not address.
    With vendors, his accounts staff and purchase team deducted new year sponsorship amount without the consent.
    they are able to take advantage of the outstanding balance of the vendors.
    There is no quality parameter with the hotel or purchase team. they only want price factor.
    With this type of attitude the hotel will not become good to guest rather they are harming ?
    Hope the concerned will take notice and rectify.
