CSIA, currently ranked as the World’s Best Airport, introduced prodigious features like the concept of a common lounge (GVK Lounge) for premium passengers, dedicated Meet & Assist services (Pranaam), the Mumbai Airport T2 application and the Art Museum (‘Jaya He’), to enhance experience of travellers transiting through the airport.
Furthermore, CSIA is the only airport in the world to handle maximum flight movements on a single runway. Its contribution towards the environment and its sustainability has also been tremendous and efforts have been made for developing a conducive eco system.
The major criteria for selection included creation of tourist friendly infrastructure, maintenance and upkeep of the Airport, adaptation of eco-friendly practices, traffic management system, availability of transport facility and facilities for the passengers with special needs, etc. CSIA emerged victorious across all these parameters.
CSIA has certainly evolved as the finest airport in the World and will continue to serve its stakeholders with world class professionalism.
