Jet Airways announced the arrival of its first next generation Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interiors.
The all-new Boeing 737-800 is replete with the Boeing 787 inspired shape, colour, décor and texture. The new Sky Interior features new cove lighting and a curved cabin architecture that provides a feeling of openness and space. The dynamic LED lighting portrays different colour schemes like a soft blue sky and sunset colours, while providing for maximum efficiency and lower maintenance costs. Another feature is the new pivot bins, which afford greater overhead bin capacity for storage. New improved passenger service units and a significantly quieter cabin also add to the comfort of the guests. In addition to this, the new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft also possesses superior on board sound quality and clarity through new speakers.
Jet Airways has taken delivery of the first of these 11 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be inducted into the airline’s fleet this month – the remaining will be delivered between October 2011 and March 2013. Of the 11 new aircraft, two Boeing 737 – 800 will have 16 Premiere and 138 Economy Class seating configuration complete with Jet Airways in-flight entertainment system. The remaining nine Boeings will have eight Premiere and 162 Economy Class seating configuration. The new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft will also possess better economy, given the fact that they will have over 1 percent less fuel burn, compared to the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircrafts.
