A summer holiday in the mountains means fresh air and blue skies, open spaces and strong sensations. With this in mind, Extreme Adventure Sports Company ‘Jumpin Heights’ now offers thrills like The Bungy, Flying Fox and Giant Swing, at Rishikesh.
Jumpin Heights has for the very first time brought to India Bungy Jumping from a 83 meters cantilever platform and Asia’s longest one kilometre long Flying Fox. The site is 25 km from the Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) and 230 km by road from New Delhi. It also adds another feather to Rishikesh, already synonymous with other adventure sports like white water rafting and mountaineering related activities.
Wind your way up the hills, approximately 15 km ahead towards a place called Mohanchatti. With greenery all around and the Ganges besides it, it is a perfect place to take the one kilometre plunge. As for safety, the jump staff is trained in ropes, knots and harnessing procedures and there is first aid by St John’s Ambulance Delhi. All the equipment has either been imported or manufactured as per international standards. To ensure the highest level of safety, jumpmasters from New Zealand have been flown in to operate the bungy.
