MGM Group Launches Hotel MGM Mark Whitefield

The MG Muthu Group of Companies (MGM) announced the launch of their newest acquisition in the city – a boutique business hotel – MGM Mark Whitefield. This is their second venture in the hospitality sector, after the launch of Tranquil Orchards Suites, a set of serviced apartments located at Sadashivnagar. Rooms are equipped with hi-speed Wi-Fi access, an electronic safe, bath tub, mini bar, tea and coffee maker, multiple sockets to fit international needs and other amenities. A fitness centre, a 24-hour dining restaurant Fusion which serves Indian and Continental fare, and a bar are also available here. The Westminster Hall offers conference and convention facilities up to 125 guests, and has a board room for small group meetings too. MGM Anand, Managing Director, MGM Group, said, “Bangalore is a vibrant city with a climate conducive, both in the literal sense and in business parlance. It was impossible for us at MG Muthu Group of Companies to resist the attractive opportunities in the hospitality segment emerging from Bangalore.” The MGM group is a Rs. 900 crore conglomerate that has diversified into various businesses ranging from logistics to distillery and hospitality. With regard to their future plans, Ajai Kacker, Vice President, MGM Group, said, “Our growth plan will have strong roots in the hospitality sector. Acquisition and rebranding of all properties, present and future is on the cards.”
