No ADF for DIAL And MIAL From January 2013

Flying from Delhi and Mumbai airports might just get cheaper from January 2013 with Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ajit Singh planning to abolish ADF early next year. According to reports, the minister has directed AAI to infuse Rs 288 crore into Mumbai (Mumbai International Airport Ltd or MIAL) and Rs 102 crore into Delhi airport (Delhi International Airport Ltd or DIAL) with the objective of abolishing ADF at Mumbai and Delhi Airports and accordingly submit its proposals to Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).

Presently a domestic passenger pays Rs 200 and an international passenger pays Rs 1300 as as ADF at Delhi Airport and Rs 100/ per domestic passenger and Rs 600/ per international passenger as ADF at Mumbai Airport.
