Aryan Hospitality is all set to open a heritage hotel near Khajuraho. The company has leased and converted a mini fort owned by the Bundhela Royal family – Hammeer Ghari in Basari Village on the Khajuraho – Chattarpur road – into a heritage hotel. According to the company’s spokesperson, Shailaish Pratap Singh, the heritage hotel is the first of its kind and will become operational in July with 19 rooms and two restaurants. The hotel will add another 16 rooms and a swimming pool to it in the next phase, he said in a report.One of the attractions of the heritage hotel is the Jalmahal Restaurant, which is an extension of the fort, in the middle of Rajatal Lake behind the fort. The hotel will have pedal boats to carry guests to the restaurant. Another restaurant is located inside the renovated fort. All rooms in the hotel have double beds and there is a central courtyard.
