Park Plaza has opened its first property in the city on Marathahalli Outer Ring Road.
The five-star hotel is strategically located to connect Bangalore’s major IT hubs like Whitefield and Sarjapur to the city’s centre. An undertaking of International Carlson Worldwide and Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, the hotel is a 234-key hotel with deluxe, junior, executive and presidential suites of sizes ranging from 350 square feet to 1400 square feet. Tariffs range from `9,000 to `10,000 plus taxes. A highlight at the hotel is its conferencing space of 21,000 square feet. “We want to see Park Plaza as a refreshing hotspot for every outgoing Bangalorean and every corporate traveller’s first choice in the city,” said Alexander Schneider, General Manager, Park Plaza Bengaluru.
The food and beverage options here are Gadang Bar, which serves contemporary interpretations of traditional cocktails; Mélange, all day dining restaurant offering Western and Indian cuisines and beverages; Shao for Thai and Chinese food; and Zafran for fusion of Indian and Lebanese cuisine.
Meanwhile, the Park Plaza Coimbatore became Carlson’s 40th hotel in the country. (Park Plaza Cbe) The 107-room hotel, built in association with Sabari Group of Companies, brings Carlson’s total number of rooms to 4,027. “In Asia Pacific, the number of operating Park Plaza hotels and resorts will increase from 15 to 25 by 2014. This augurs well for Carlson as trends continue to indicate high travel growth into and within Asia Pacific,” said Simon C. Barlow, President, Carlson Hotels, and Asia Pacific.
