Park Yourself by the Beach

The Park launches a brand new property in Goa and takes on the management of yet another in Mysore.

Another of The Park’s design driven properties was unveiled in Goa recently. The Park on Holiday Beach, situated on the scenic Calangute strip in North Goa, is a 30-room beachside hotel conceptualized around Goa’s famous music scene, with artworks in the rooms and corridors based on famous Goan musicians. The contemporary design is also inspired by the Goan ‘susegad’ – a tranquil and relaxed approach towards life that is said to have existed in Goa.

The primarily white canvas of the hotel is accented with dramatic splashes of purple and custom furnishings in its deluxe rooms, luxury rooms, junior suites and deluxe suites. All rooms are replete with modern facilities such as iPod dockets, Wi-fi internet access and LCD screen televisions. The property features the all-hours restaurant, Love that serves world cuisine and Peace Bar, both of which overlook the sea. Aura, with its signature spa treatments administered in poolside cabanas, and an indoor meeting space for conferences will be developed for the second phase of the launch.

Meanwhile, the Park has taken over the management of Mysore’s newest property, the 59-room Quorum near Kala Mandir. The Quorum Mysore, which is at a walk able distance from the station and a 20-minute drive from the airport, also houses six suites in addition to an all-day casual dining restaurant, Café. Café, with its extended al fresco seating, serves world cuisines. The hotel also boasts of state-of-art conference and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 300 persons, including a roof-top banquet space that offers panoramic views of the Chamundi Hills . The hotel offers high-speed connectivity and WiFi internet access and DVD players and iPads are provided on request. The Quorum Mysore is currently renting rooms at special introductory rates and is also providing a Mysore Weekend Retreat package that includes an exclusive half day tour of the city covering famous tourist haunts like the Mysore Palace, Mysore Zoo, St Philomena’s Church and the local market.
