Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield announced the appointment of Raheel Ahmad as Executive Chef of the property, which is set to be open in January 2013. Raheel holds a diploma in Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Nutrition from IHM, Bhopal and comes with a rich and diverse experience in creating a wide variety of European and Asian cuisine.
As Executive Chef at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Raheel’s main responsibilities will include leadership of the team, overall management of the kitchen, and introduction of new trends in food presentation and dining concepts. He will also play a significant role in facilitating complete customer satisfaction by providing a very high level of service. Having worked closely with a number of world-renowned national and international chefs, he will also utilize his valuable knowledge to train and manage manpower and resources available efficiently.
Prior to his association with Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Raheel was with Marriott Hotel Jaipur where he worked as Executive Chef. He supervised the overall operations of food and beverage outlets such as Okra (all day dining), Saffron (Indian specialty), JBC (Jaipur Baking Company) and L18 (Lounge). In addition, he was also responsible for food and overhead cost budgeting and controls along with day-to-day operations and management of the kitchen brigade.
