Etihad Airways Joins Forces with SITA

EtihadAccording to news reports, Etihad Airways has entered into a ten-year partnership with SITA, a global IT and communications provider, for latest global infrastructure solutions, while reducing the cost and complexity of IT, stated a release. The portfolio of services that will be provided to Etihad include end-user computing solutions powered by the Air Transport Industry (ATI) Cloud, to ensure up-to-date services.

Etihad is also adopting new innovative services including SITA CrewTablet, which its cabin crew will use to access passenger and operational data via tablets. This end-to-end mobility solution will enhance in-flight services and customer interaction. In addition, SITA and Etihad Airways will establish new connectivity solutions at airport gates to enable the most efficient management of Etihad’s next-generation aircraft.
