Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., earlier this week marked the debut of its rapidly expanding Four Points by Sheraton brand in Gujarat. Owned by SAMHI Hotels (Ahmedabad) Private Limited, the 104-room Four Points by Sheraton Ahmedabad is a conversion from an existing hotel and is Starwood’s first managed Four Points by Sheraton in India.
“Gujarat is among the fastest growing states in India and is an important market for Starwood. The debut of the Four Points by Sheraton brand in the state will strengthen the brand’s presence in the Indian market and is in keeping with our goal to continue to expand our footprint in Tier-II markets and in micro markets within larger metros. Our upscale brands offer a great opportunity for us to be able to do this,” said Dilip Puri, Managing Director India and Regional Vice President South Asia, Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels and Resorts.
