With a career spanning over 16 years in the field of hospitality management and with steady contributions in various positions and hotels of different capacities and brands, she joins the Marriott Group in India with the opening of one of the most well designed and chic Courtyards in the country at Chakan Pune. Deeply involved in every aspect of getting the new property ready for the launch, Ritu in her very exciting new avatar, will be responsible for Designing, Developing and Implementing Service Architecture; Brand management and positioning strategies; Strategy Development & Deployment using the Balanced Score Card, delivering the revenues and costs to meet Ownership expectations and last but not the least, ensuring rewarding relationships with the associates to deliver the brand promise in line with the strong HR values of the Marriott Group.
Ritu began her career as a Management Trainee at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace & Towers, Mumbai; going ahead to become one of the youngest lady General Managers of the Taj Group in 2007 at the Vivanta by Taj, Fisherman’s Cove, Chennai. Ritu holds an Executive MBA from SP Jain College, Mumbai.
As a second generation hotelier and with her in-depth understanding and passion for the hospitality business, she has a keen eye for detail and a tireless drive to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction. Ritu brings her strong communication skills, stirringly young and vivacious personality, domain knowledge, well-honed leadership qualities and her love for people, to her new role, towards further anchoring the refreshing Courtyard brand in Pune.
Ritu has a bent of mind for art and culture, visible in the way she has decorated her home with hand-picked art and artifacts. In her leisure time she loves to indulge in rock music coupled with a flair for painting when time permits. Some of her other interests include meditation and yoga, as a source of inspiration and orientation in life.
